Podcasts not updating on ipod touch

I push the update on the ipod choice, and it says ipod update complete, but then when I'm on my commute, listening, the new podcast isn't there, its just old stuff. Now, it may eventually upload, but I'm not yet sure about what helps it decide when to put the new podcast on my pod.The Podcasts app is a great place to find, subscribe to, and play your favorite podcasts on your i Phone, i Pad, or i Pod touch. If you can’t find the Podcasts app on your i Phone, i Pad, or i Pod touch, you might have removed it from your Home screen. When you play a podcast, you see a player at the bottom of the screen.Tap or swipe up on the player at the bottom to see the Now Playing screen and controls. Tap it again to change to 1 1/2x, 2x, or 1/2x playback speed. You can also set a sleep timer that stops your podcasts from playing continuously: Tap and choose when you would like playback to stop.

Tap it, then tap the episode that you want to listen to.Any new episodes downloaded by the Podcasts app on your device will also no longer be transferred back to i Tunes automatically. The problem here is that if a Podcast subscription is still being synced from i Tunes, the Podcasts app will assume that it should get new content via i Tunes rather than automatically syncing new content over-the-air.As with music, i Tunes syncs your podcasts to your i Pod whenever you connect your device, provided that you have i Tunes set to automatically sync data when connected. As such, one option for deleting podcasts is to remove the podcast episodes or series from i Tunes and let syncing do the job for you next time you connect your i Pod. If you also want to unsubscribe from podcast updates, click the "Unsubscribe" button in the lower left corner of the window.
