According to a mediareport, Jwala has confirmed that she is filing for divorce with her husband but denied that it had anything to do with cricketer-turned-politician Mohd Azharuddin.
"Whenever he is in Hyderabad, he is seen in Pullela Gopichand's academy where Jwala practises and they both leave together.
They head to some hotel but I am not sure if they stay together in the same room," quoted a highly-placed source from the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association as saying.
"Jwala and her husband are not staying together at the moment and are even practising separately," he added.
Gutta later found greater international success with Ashwini Ponnappa, and the pair consistently figured among the top-twenty pairs in the BWF World Ranking reaching as high as no. She is one of the rare forehand servers of the world.
Jwala is the first badminton player of Indian two qualify for two events in the Olympics (womens doubles with Ashwini Ponnappa and mixed doubles with V. Gutta has won numerous medals for Indian badminton including the bronze medal 2011 BWF World Championships in London, and a gold and silver at 20 Commonwealth Games respectively in the women's doubles event which were the first for the country in the discipline.
